Happy Thursday!

We just wanted to give you all a shout out to say THANK YOU for your support. Yesterday we reached over 300 Facebook page likes since we’ve rolled out our blog in January and couldn’t have done it without you all. Thank you for liking, tagging, sharing, commenting and being a part of our Runaway Moms Tribe! Thank you for the advice you’ve given us, and allowing us to be a part of your motherhood journey. Whether you are about to have your first baby and feel the anxiousness of taking care of a newborn, or your kids are grown up and you are nailing the whole motherhood gig, we love you all!

If you are new to our Runaway Moms Tribe, let us quickly reintroduce ourselves and what our blog is about.

Who we are:

We are fortunate to be best friends for 25+ years now. We’ve both grown up living similar lifestyles and the same life values. We both come from parents who have taught us what hard work truly is. We have siblings (and although one of the few differences between us is Helena is the oldest sibling and Tressa is the youngest sibling in their families). We grew up eight miles from each other, love to eat pizza, chips/salsa, wine and beer and we have a major LOVE country music (especially Luke Bryan). True statement: In high school, we binge watched our favorite movie, Dirty Dancing 12 times in one 24-hour period…that’s either super lame or super cool, depending on how you look at it :) We are each other’s secret keepers and shoulder to cry on. We’ve bailed each other out of trouble and no matter how grounded we got ourselves in high school, we always managed to sweet talk our parents out of it so we could see each other. Our husbands are a bit hesitant when we go out for a girls’ night together because they “know how we can get," hahahah. We enjoy doing photography together, shopping, watching The Bachelor and rom com movies. Our birthdays are three days apart, so we are a testament that two stubborn Taurus’s can be in the same room together. We have been there for each other as we’ve given birth photographing those precious moments meeting our babes for the first time. We balance each other out and truly complement one other well. We have a memory bank of thousands of memories since childhood and could go on and on and on. If there's one major difference between each other, it's that Tressa is and adrenaline junky and Helena is a adrenaline junk-NOT.

One day while driving, we were trying to figure out how to incorporate our lives, our experiences, our fun, with other people. That was when RUNAWAY MOMS MN was born. We have always said, even though we have become mothers, we don’t want to forget about being US. Here we are! Blunt, Bold, Wild, and Free. A little bit of humor and a whole lot of honesty! Feeling blessed and stressed and loving the little escapes of life. Just two best friends trying to be better moms without forgetting who we are, juggling everyday chaos. We welcome you to come Runaway with us on our journey in this crazy beautiful world!
