Waiting Room Angels

Angels are everywhere.
Do you believe in Angels? I have zero doubt in my mind that there are angels everywhere we look. You may not even realize when you see one, or you may get an instant feeling of contentment. Have you ever met one? Have you ever had one visit you in a dream? Was there ever a time that you just knew it was an angel? Have you ever looked down and found a random penny? My grandma and mom have always told me that those are angel kisses.
When I was in my early 20's, I went to an Angel Party. I was a total skeptic. It wasn't because I didn't believe in angels, I just didn't think a stranger would be able to tell me about mine. To me, it was a total scam and a bunch of Hocus Pocus. When the angel lady (for lack of a better word on how to describe her profession) showed up, I actually tried to give off a different personality and attitude. I dressed different than I normally would. I never once said my name to her or anyone else there. I barely talked because I didn't want her to use what I said and try to make me believe something based off of nothing. I was proven completely wrong. She actually was an angel lady and told me everything about my angels. I'm talking even down to angels names that were in the room with us; people that had previously made their way to Heaven. I can't even begin to describe how amazing it was. Tears FLOWED. There were women at that party that had burst out of the room bawling because of things she said. I have never experienced anything quite like it. Angel parties are hard to come by, you need to be careful. There actually are scammers out there who have no clue what they're doing, but I am grateful for the one we had. She was the real deal! Thinking about it now, I couldn't even tell you her name. How ironic is that? One of the best parties ever with a complete nameless stranger.
I've always kept in the back of my mind how angels are everywhere around us. Anyone else? I'm talking about angels that you don't even know are there. Have you ever met a stranger that just instantly made you smile and have a better day? How do you know that it wasn't an angel put there purposely by God to make your day turn around? I've always believed that. When my husband (then fiance) had his traumatic accident, I actually MET an angel. I didn't know she was an angel until after the fact, but there is no better way to explain what happened to me on 9/4/2009. After my fiance had crashed in an airplane the day before, there were so many unknowns. It was unsettling and uneasy for everyone. Nobody knew what would happen next, let alone 10 years from then. We prayed to God every minute that we would have a future. I remember vividly being in the pre-op room with Nick talking over all the details with doctors and nurses about how this 16 hour spinal cord surgery was going to go down. They were using words that we barely understood. We put our complete trust in their expertise. Despite the unknown we were still optimistic and hopeful. Nick was on a lot of pain meds; he was talking nonsense and tired, dozing in and out. I remember standing at the end of the bed watching him wondering how we got here. I had tears in my eyes as I looked around at all the nurses in the room preparing.

THEN. I met her. A beautiful woman who I had never seen before; she was dressed in completely normal clothes. She had dark hair and was very calming. She came next to me and wrapped her left arm around me and said "Miracles Do Happen". Nothing else. We exchanged smiles and she walked away. When I looked back at Nick and then back to her walking away - SHE WAS GONE. There's no way that she would have made it through the long row of beds before I saw her again, and yet she was nowhere. There were no other patients that she could have been visiting; Nick was the only one in the entire room besides medical staff. I looked back at Nick and smiled and had this overwhelming peace with everything to come. Any doubt that I could have had vanished. After the 16+ surgery, the doctor came into his room and explained how it was a fantastic surgery and couldn't have gone any better. I prayed to God and thanked him for our angel.
Pay attention, I bet if you look down - you might just find a kiss from heaven when you need it the most.
I'm curious, have you ever met an Angel?
